When I first started following Westlife (from the beginning) I must admit, although I was going because I loved the music, I did get one or two strange looks!
"no, its not a midlife crisis" " yes they are young enough to be my sons!", but over the years I have learned not to care what people think, and over the years I have seen the age group rise, so it is no longer unusual to get on the coach and most of them be around my age or older!
I have experienced the critics knocking my other fav band(The Osmonds) and the fans are still there after 35 years, and the guys are loved as much as ever.....critics dont mean nothing, its the "bottoms on seats" that counts!
I started going to see Westlife cos I never got to see the Osmonds when I was younger(but all thats changed now!!!!) and I am so pleased to say that both groups keep me happily "broke"(lol!) trying to keep up with all the tours!!!!
There are also a number of Westlife fans on Donny.com , and in reverse a Donny fan sat behind me at a Donny concert, and she was about 20, and we got into a conversation and turns out she was a Westlife as well!
I am proud to be following such fantastic artists and hope they keep me "Broke"(from touring) for many years to come!
